ARETE

As one of Kirkland’s first micro-unit projects (called “residential suites” in Kirkland), our team’s mission was to create an attractive “village” that serviced the artist community and workforce housing needs of this unique Lake Washington city. 200,000 sf, five buildings, three levels of parking, 62 apartments, 228 micros and 7,000 sf of retail space later, Arete has established itself as a diverse, LEED Platinum, one-of-a kind project that will serve the community for generations to come. The expressive roof lines along Central are a gesture to the white sails on the lake to the west.
