Gateway to Downtown anyone? This prominent corner gave the design team quite a challenge with its size, geometry and zoning setbacks. Ultimately, we turned to our neighbor, the waterfront, for inspiration. The prow of a ship, the aperture of shells, the lantern glow of a lighthouse, the warm protective rust of A606 weathering steel…ahh, it’s all there. The ground floor is transparent, and prime for any commercial tenant while the upper stories host 90 studio units within walking distance to, well, nearly everything. The rooftop deck left us speechless. There, you’ll find some of the best views in the city.
